Shimano Grappler BB Type J — 21GRPBBJS603

The Type J is Shimano's high-pitch jigging action — built to work a jig with sharp, deliberate strokes rather than the soft loading of a slow-pitch rod. This is the light-duty model in the range, suited to smaller and mid-size species and lighter jigs.

The blank is carbon-wrapped with Hi-Power X, which resists the twist and rotation that costs you power mid-jig, so the stroke you put in is the stroke the jig gets. It is a two-piece rod with a bend profile close to a one-piece.
