Description
The Shimano Grappler Type J Jigging Rod sets a new standard in the mid-range offshore rod category by delivering premium features at a competitive price. Designed for precision, power, and responsiveness, it performs exceptionally well across a wide range of jigging conditions.
Built with Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction, the rod offers enhanced strength while minimizing twist. This results in improved power transfer and control, all while maintaining a lightweight and easy-to-handle profile for extended jigging sessions.
The 1+1 section configuration ensures compact transport while preserving the performance and feel of a one-piece rod. Available in both spinning and baitcasting models, the Grappler Type J adapts to different angler preferences.
Shimano equips this series with durable components designed for offshore use. PE 6–8 models feature double-foot MN guides for added strength under heavy loads. Rubber gimbals support PE 6–7 models, while metal gimbals on PE 8 models provide additional durability when targeting large, powerful fish.
Ideal for species such as tuna, amberjack, and other hard-fighting offshore fish, the Grappler Type J delivers reliable performance, strong backbone, and smooth handling for demanding jigging applications.
